We aim to encourage Children to enjoy their time in the Nursery whilst developing their skills in all areas. With friendly approachable staff, there is lots of feedback to parents about their Child’s day from verbal communication to a written activity sheet stating important information about the Child’s day.

Parental involvement is vital and it is very important that staff and parents work together to ensure that the Nursery is providing the best care, a stimulating environment and a safe and secure building, so parents can feel relaxed and so the Children can enjoy their time at the Nursery.

There will be a variety of events and activities for parents to participate in. With parent evenings and forums throughout the year, we will always ensure that we are aiming to suit parent needs.

We aim to help the Children build self-esteem, have motivation and gain confidence. This is done through offering a wide variety of activities for the Children to be involved in throughout their time at the Nursery. Learning is also incorporated into the outdoor area from sand and water play to bug hunts and welly boot painting. Activities are very important at Giant Steps and are designed to develop healthy minds and bodies.

The great sense of Community is felt throughout Downton. This is extremely vital to the Nursery and by working together we can ensure that we are offering and covering all parent and Children’s needs.
